63RC Stage X M156 Cam Phaser Plates
The Stage X camshaft adjuster (phaser) lock plate set — the permanent fix for the M156’s best-known failure point. Machined from US-sourced AISI 4340 Q&T steel, dramatically stronger than the factory plates that wear, hammer out, and eventually let the adjuster walk.
Set includes
- Two intake replacement lock plates
- Two exhaust replacement lock plates
- Matched pin set with guaranteed fitment
Why it matters
M156 cam adjuster failure is progressive and expensive. Once the factory lock plates wear, timing drifts, the engine develops the familiar cold-start rattle, and continued driving risks valvetrain damage. Stage X is the strongest plate available and is intended for engines being rebuilt or corrected properly rather than patched.
